Some people think that Putin is behind the conflict between members of the Armenian Church and the authorities in Armenia. The Russian President says he’s not the one pulling the strings of the current crisis.
“Well, I’m not going to stand here and explain myself forever! I wasn’t involved in the recent events in Armenia, or in any of the stuff that’s happened over the last 25 years. I swear it wasn’t me! I was swamped with work in Ukraine, so I didn’t have much time to think about Armenia. Plus, it’s common knowledge that Russia as a whole tolerates Pachinian, and I’m no exception.
“I’m not someone who brings chaos; I’m someone who brings solutions. When a friendly country, an ex-member of some Russian thingummy, is in trouble, I bring in my pros. I wake up some relatives who were sleeping in the friendly country. After all these interventions, there’s no guarantee the friendly country will function properly, but we’ll have fixed a few broken pots…
“I’ve got a few ideas for flowers to plant in these broken pots. Slightly wilted flowers that have been growing for a while and give off the scent of déjà vu. You’ll have to water them regularly with water from Russia’s dirty laundry. But with sanctions, everything’s so expensive. My self-renewal in power is costing me dearly. Even my loss of influence is costing me dearly. Can you imagine how much it would cost me to mess with countries that are my friends and that can’t stand seeing me in paint? “
